6 Days Kilimanjaro Marangu Special Group Joining Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guide and fellow trekkers for a pre-trek briefing and gear check.

Day 2: Marangu Gate (1860m) – Mandara Hut (2700m)
Begin your trek from Marangu Gate, ascending through the lush rainforest to Mandara Hut. Enjoy the rich vegetation and wildlife on this initial leg of the journey.

Day 3: Mandara Hut (2700m) – Horombo Hut (3720m)
Continue your ascent through the moorland zone to Horombo Hut. You’ll experience a dramatic change in scenery as you leave the rainforest behind.

Day 4: Horombo Hut (3720m) – Kibo Hut (4700m)
Trek from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, passing through alpine desert terrain. This is a crucial acclimatization day as you approach higher altitudes.

Day 5: Summit Day – Kibo Hut (4700m) – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Horombo Hut (3720m)
Start your summit attempt in the early hours, reaching Uhuru Peak at sunrise. After celebrating at the summit, descend to Horombo Hut for rest.

Day 6: Horombo Hut (3720m) – Marangu Gate (1860m)
